Triumph TR6: according to some,
the last of the true British sports cars...
For many years I searched for
a desirable example. Sure, TR6's are available but upon close
inspection they usually are eaten up by rust. My goal was
to find a car with a sound body and frame. Finally in the
Summer of 2003 I found what I was looking for.
This TR6 has undergone a full
frame-off restoration. Along the way, some improvements have
been made. This website lists the great majority of these
improvements. As you read, you will find many interesting
surprises! The whole point of building this car was to make
it reliable (very tall order for a British sports car) and very
fast.
The restoration took approximately
3 years to complete. Countless hours have been spent fabricating
bespoke items and improving the original car. The results
have been quite impressive.
