Credits
As in all great projects, they
don't belong to only one person. This project is no
exception. I would like to take full credit for all the
work, but that would not be accurate. I did get a chance
to work on all parts of the restoration, however there are some
folks that need to be mentioned...
Jim Thompson - proprietor of
Thompson Tool.
All major fabrication was done by my cousin Jim. He is a
Master Machinist and an extraordinary welder. He can lay a
'row of quarters' with a TIG welder anytime, anywhere.
With is vision and craftsmanship, the TR6 became a reality.
Jim's shop is in Greenville, South Carolina and through his shop
doors pass some of the finest hand made components available.
David Barbrey
My friend David took the time to teach me the in's and out's of
body work so I could do the majority of the work. I did
the majority of the body prep and some base coat painting.
David took over and did the more complicated aspects such as
applying clear coat. He then showed me the proper
techniques for wet sanding and polishing.
