Wheels & Tires
Wheels are like jewelry on a
car. The 'bling' factor! Wheels either make or break
a car...
Personally, there is only one
choice: a set of Panasport wheels. Panasports
are made in an array different colors but the decision was made
to go with the traditional silver finish. A set of 16 inch
by 7 inch wide wheels was purchased from a Paul Spruell
Motorsports in Atlanta.
I had to wait a few weeks for them, but that was all good.
They also gave me a much better deal than anyone else and they
arrived very nicely packaged in two boxes.
After some research a set of Kumho tires
was purchased from The Tire Rack. The tires are 215-55/ZR
16's. However, after a few miles I noticed that with all
the suspension changes, the front tires were rubbing on the
fenders. The rubbing was worse when the front suspension
would compress.
To solve the problem a pair of
205-55/ZR 16's were ordered for the front. After
installation and proper balancing they were installed.
What a difference! The tires cleared perfectly.
